  1. 14k White Gold Diamond Bezel Set Stud Earrings (.06 cttw, J Color, I2 Clarity)

These earrings were what appeared to be a good value. Actually they were beyond disappointment. I should pay more attention to sizes on products, shame on me. Shame on the photographer, the vendor, and Amazon for selling these specks and picturing them as discernible stones. You will not need to know color, cut, or clarity because you can not see any of them on these pin pricks called earrings. My first review was not published. What does that say for this item?

  2. Pay close attention to the other reviewers and myself when we say these earrings are tiny. Very tiny is not an exaggeration.

That said, in the past Amazon has run these on sale for a net cost of $21, including super saver shipping (on qualifying purchases totaling over $25, of course). I can recommend them, only at that sale price, in specific situations, as follows:

    1. If you have multiple piercings, especially high on the ear, these would be perfect. I only have two pierces per ear, and these are even small for my second one; however, if your ears are small, they could work.

    2. The reason I purchased these was for a birthday present for my granddaughter next year when she is 10. I would recommend these for any girls between the ages of 6 and 15.

The specifications indicate that the diamonds are I2, which isn’t too bad for earrings, considering that in this price range and size they are usually I3. Looking at them through a 30X loup, in full sunlight and under inside lights, there are some inclusions, consistent with I2, but fortunately I didn’t see any carbon specks. The color was more white than anything else; I didn’t notice any yellowing or cloudiness. There is a good sparkle to them; they will catch the light. In any case, you are never going to see the inclusions because of the size, but you will notice that they sparkle. Again, because of their size, I deliberately ordered them in white gold.

  3. It may be my own fault for not reading the sizing carefully but honestly NO ONE would want earrings this small… they won’t even stay on the outside of my earlobe. ALSO the post is so short that it is really hard to get the earring on and off.

I’m very surprised by all of the negative reviews these earrings have received. They are exactly what I expected, size-wise, and the diamond quality surpassed my expectations.

First of all, .06 carat is NOT big. If you go to any major department store and check out the smallest stud earrings, chances are they’re 1/10 carat. Realize that .06 carat is 60% of that weight, or a little over half. That’s small. They’re 2.5 mm, which is about 1/10 of an inch. Whip out a ruler, mark off an inch, divide it into 10 sections, and imagine an earring the size of one of those sections. Not big.

This is exactly the size I was looking for. These would be very small earrings for a sole piercing, or even for young children. They are nice for secondary ear piercings, especially if you have small ears. I wanted TINY diamond studs to wear with my .5 and .75 carat stud earrings; I preferred bezel over prong settings for this purpose, and it was very difficult to find such earrings. I ordered a pair of 1/10 carat bezel set earrings in 10k gold from a department store–I spent $50 on them, they were too large for my needs, and the diamonds were dull, gray, and full of carbon specks. These .06 carat earrings were the perfect size, 14k gold (instead of 10k), and the diamonds shine. While I am sure the stones are included, there are no visible carbon specks, and the cut is good enough to reflect enough light to make them sparkle. The posts seem slightly shorter than average so if you have very thick ears you may want to pass, but they work for me. I am very happy with this purchase at 70% savings. If you are realistic about the size of the earrings (what do you expect $25-$30 to get you, diamond-wise?), you should not be disappointed.

I AM SO UPSET AND PISSED WITH THE SIZE OF THIS EARRING IT IS NOT FUNNY. I DON’T NORMALLY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY AMAZON PURCHASE, BUT THIS WAS A GRAVE DISAPPOINTMENT. I AM SO SORRY I DID NOT READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE I PURCHASED IT. IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A GIFT – MY BIRTHDAY GIFT, TO MYSELF AND THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL I CAN EVEN WEAR IT MYSELF BECAUSE IT CANNOT WORK. NOT TO MENTION THAT I THINK THE PRICE IS A RIP-OFF FOR THIS SPECK OF A I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS.
